Advantages of Jetpatcher™

So now that you have heard about the Jetpatcher™. Let us tell you about some of the advantages of our system.

• Requires only a crew of two plus traffic control assistance when necessary

• Minimal preparation for start up for days operation.

• A completely self sufficient unit combining the resources of a truck, liquid emulsion tanker, tar sprayer, roller, and compressor.

• High productivity from the Jetpatcher crew with much lower physical effort than that required for traditional methods of repair means job satisfaction is enanced resulting in better   labor retention and work skill development.

• Longer lasting repairs than those achieved using traditional methods because Jetpatcher material is always fresh and sets immediately. Single layer compaction from jet air propelled material from the bottom up achieves much better void penetration and a higher density and compaction than rolled asphalt where compaction is being attempted from the top down.

• No wastage with Jetpatcher as just the right amount of material is prepared for the repair work. 'Plant Mix' materials used in traditional repair methods are often below standard when working away from base plant and wastage is a major problem with traditional methods.

• Because of the jet air propelled tack coating penetration and the liquid nature of the Jetpatcher materials, a much better bond is achieved with the existing road surface. This produces patches which not only look better but last longer than traditional patching methods.

• Because the Jetpatcher is mounted to either truck or trailer conforming with axle load regulations there is no damage to surrounding road during repair operations.

• The fast repair system employed by Jetpatcher means that staff are less exposed to hazardous traffic flows and safety is enhanced for operators and the public.

• At the end of a shift the close down of the equipment under normal operations is minimal with just spray ring and nozzle end requiring cleaning with kerosene
